REILLY NEEDS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY REILLY is a female, black and tan GSD. She is 2 years old, spayed, utd on shots, hw neg and housebroken. She was tested for sociability by Farley and they had a blast playing. She needs a bit of obedience training but is eager to learn, very in tune with her person and e-collar literate. She was taken from a shelter 5 months ago and was being housed with another 2 yr old male dog. They got along well. The family has experienced a traumatic event and cannot care for these dogs until a family ember recovers. The male is going back to the breeder but Reilly needs to be transferred to a new home. She is a sweet affectionate dog. She is very people friendly and dog friendly. She would adapt to most any home, but since she was not with small children or babies, she would be best with kids over 7. She is available immediately.
Riley gets along with cats and our male dog. She sleeps on the couch or on the floor next to our bed. She would sleep in the bed if you let her. She eats dry dog food - Blue Buffalo large breed, I fill her bowl in the morning and the evening. She sleeps in the kennel while gone during the day and is free in the house at night. She will nudge you in the arm during the night if she needs to go out.
She has dug in the yard for coral stones. We filled up the hole with poop and that stopped. No issues now for several months. She barks at people and dogs but is friendly. She has gotten sick on car rides but as she goes more often, she's gotten better and she loves being around you and wants to go bye bye. She loves attacking the sprinkler heads or the garden hose. She is a great dog and very calm and gentle while walking.
