CAPTAIN HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY
CAPTAIN came into the rescue today 5/19 as a result of a family break up where he was placed with a family member who doesn't have adequate time to care for him. He is a 7 year old (currently unneutered male) who is extremely handsome and calm. He will be fixed as soon as we can make arrangements after he is placed since the family fostering him is not near our shelter clinic. He is a somewhat special needs dog in tat he does have seizures periodically (once every few months) and hen is on meds to slow that down. Although he does have them, they are infrequent and controllable through meds. Additionally he has the first signs of dysplasia. He can run and walk perfectly but in thew next years will probably require an FHO in his right hip. This dog however is extremely handsome, well mannered, otherwise healthy, well adjusted, people and dog friendly and kid friendly. He has a tremendous demeanor and immediately greets and shows affection immediately when introduced. He is playful, enjoys being trained, like to fetch balls and he is responsive. He is housebroken and never has ben crated. He is not at all destructive and obedient. He weighs about 80 pounds and a reddish coloration with a black saddle.
