JAKE HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY JAKE arrived in rescue today 11/18 from being a stray in Lee County. He was chipped and got all shots. He is HW Neg, about 1 yr old, and will be neutered next week in Pt Charlotte. Jake was so very scared in the shelter... he basically crawled from his run to the lobby. He tucked his tail and looked as dejected as he could look. Once myself and the staff and especially my fosters saw him he started to respond. We gave him some homemade liver and before you could say Jake, he looked up and began to respond. Once we started petting him, he stood and his tail came out and he relaxed. He is a smaller shep at about 50 pounds, so if you want a smaller, low-rider, Jake is your man. he does fall into out puppy rule and requires a $500 training bond, but he will be easy to trail. he definitely came from a home as he was well cared for, fur clean and bright, nails clipped and he was super calm. He relaxed when meeting Charlie and readily got into the car to go to his foster home. This is a sweet pup deserving of a great family. I would have no reservations about him with kids.
