SWEET MAGGIE HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY MAGGIE came into the rescue Sat 11/5/22. She is a really sweet BLONDE GSD. She weighs about 85 pounds and is well trained, UTD on shots, HW neg and spayed. She was originally trained as a service dog and did get ADA cert, but that was 2 years ago and she needs a refresher course. She walks well on a lead, she is housebroken, non destructive and able to hand out in a home for 8 hrs (as that was what she was forced to do in her original home). She loves being petted and likes the ladies! She was a bit home protective with the woman who owned her but I see that as a weakness in the lady as she was definitely not alpha to the dog, and Maggie needed to 'protect her'. Her protective nature was quickly dispelled when she meets someone, but an unknown person elicits a big BARK, only in the home. NEW: She was adopted to a single woman in Nov 2022 and has been her companion since then. Her owner lived with her parents, one of whom passed and now her owner must spend most of her time caring for her dad. She feels that Maggie would not be getting the attention she deserves and wants to rehome her. She is a beauty and as these photos show, a dog color that you don't see often. She is available immediately.
