SADIE HAS A NEW HOME SADIE came into rescue today 7/23 and was found abandoned in the rain in an industrial park in Sarasota. She was wet and scared and taken in by a super family who saw her and scooped her up. they took her home gave her a bath and went to a vet to check for a chip. After seeing that she just had pups and was not chipped, they quickly realized she was dumped. Because she is so sweet, we can't imagine why she was not being searched for, but after an exhaustive search with no results, we took her into rescue. She will be spayed this coming week and given all shots. It appears she is housebroken. We know she is kid friendly, with small ones, super dog friendly with their Aussie and our foster dogs and we know she is great with people. A really great family dog. I assess her at 1.5 years but that too is anyone's guess. We will test her for HW but it appears she is healthy. She is definitely the "snack size' for a GSD. She probably weighs about 45 pounds and is really compact. She does know some commands and walks well on a lead. She will be available in about a week.
