DOZER HAS A NEW FAMILY DOZER came into our rescue today and was tested almost under fire. We had numerous dogs, including mine at training and here comes Dozer. he wound up meeting everyone and was the perfect gentleman. He is a beautiful well adjusted male GSD. He is currently in-tact, but will be neutered this coming week down in Naples. Dozer is approximately 1 year old (maybe 11 mo, but we are not exactly sure.) He is calm with people and dogs. He lived with young kids and is extremely easy with smaller people. As a puppy however mentally, and 75 pounds and large in stature, he is prone to knock the little ones down like sticks, so if you have young children he would need to recognize them and be trained not to be the proverbial 'bull in a china shop'.
Dozer is untrained but a quick learner. he walked perfectly on a prong and with some treat motivation, was excellent in understanding basic commands. He would be a dog that would require a $500 bond to take him to a minimum of 2, 6 week training classes, to insure he gets it and can be a good family member. He is going to be a 100 pounder, hence the name dozer, aka bulldozer, so be prepared for a big boy. My assessment of this stellar animal is that he has all of the right stuff to be a fabulous dog.
