HANDSOME FINN AKA FINLEY AKA FINKO HAS A NEW FAMILY HANDSOME FINN AKA FINLEY AKA FINKO NEEDS A NEW FAMILY
We received Finn in early June and quickly revised his name. He was Finko but we shortened it. Finn is a truly classic male GSD. He is neutered, has all shots and is HW Neg. Finn was abandoned by his owner and taken into rescue from a shelter. Even though he was chipped the owner chose to just discard him. Finn is a truly fabulous dog. He is housebroken, crate trained, obedience trained (he does jump when excited) and he is extremely affectionate. He met a dozen dogs today and did great. He likes car rides and I gave him a whip cream cup at Dunkin and he enjoyed that as well. He likes to play ball and he is extremely comfortable with toys and playing with you. He is one of those amazingly handsome dogs who just wants to please you. He was bathed today and groomed, blown dry and had his nails done at the dog spa. He did great. I would recommend a dog like this to any family with kids above 10 as he is big (92#'s) and we are not sure how he would be with toddlers. He was adopted and returned to us for the following reasons. He is a real family member and wants to be with someone in the household all of the time. He has a level of separation anxiety that does allow him to settle when you leave, but he doesn't want you to leave him. He is highly ,motivated to play ball and will do it until he drops or your do. He does like to be on the couch with you and from what we see, if is not destructive and affectionate but requires a strong leader not willing to take any nonsense from this boy. He is a strong dog with a will to match and needs rules and more obedience training. He listens and decides whether to obey so any one family taking him needs to realize that he is not in charge and to set the rules and mean it. he loves kids and he is most calm when 2 or more people are with him. he likes to show off.
