BEAUTIFUL GRETTA HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY GRETTA as I named her yesterday (6/17) is a sweetie. She is very fearful of change and it took quite some time to get her to a point of trust. She is currently in a foster who will care for her for the next week or so and teach her that people are good and not to be afraid.
Gretta is about 2-3 years old. She will be spayed next week 6-28 and get all shots and a chip. She was found as a stray a few weeks ago in Sarasota county and was never claimed. Gretta is beautiful. She is heartworm NEG and weighs about 55 pounds. We think she was owned by a family as she is really friendly once you pet her. She likes dogs both big and small and was completely not phased by an introduction to cats. She has very little training. We think she is housebroken but you have to know her signs to go out. She is a bit underweight and that will be fixed quickly. She loves her picture taken but does commands at times. Since she is fearful we have yet to see the commands she knows. She is not destructive and super calm in the home; not at all a barker. She is black and tan and has nice fur which means she was cared for before she was dumped. We feel this is a great dog just in need to affection and training. Trust will be the first factor to control her being aloof, at least initially. I have seen this behavior many times first hand and I know she will come around quickly as she soo wants to be loved.
