KAIA HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY We now know way more than we did last week about Kaia. She is definitely a dominate female who needs a strong hand in training. She is not good with cats so NO CATS. She would be best as an only dog unless you have a dog that would offset her alpha which is not likely. Even as a pup she is showing her alpha side. She was spayed and given all shots and a HW test this morning 11/30 and she will be ready to go to her new home for a few weeks (appx 7th of Dec) as we need to know more about her which we will learn at her foster home. Kaia is a 10 month old black and tan female GSD. She is sweet with people but a bit mouthy. She is untrained but house broken and crate trained. She does exhibit some separation anxiety but to what degree, we just don't know. Her story was that her owner, a real idiot, asked a friend who he met on face book... the story gets worse, who he didn't know nor who knew him, to watch his puppy back in October for 3 days. Needless to say he never returned, the phone number was bogus as was his name and address. No possibility of contact cause the 'foster' to keep her. The dog is untrained and barked for attention, so much so that she was asked to leave her rental unit or get rid of the dog. She chose to give the dog to us. I consider this dog a puppy and as such the puppy rules apply which means a $500 deposit is required to insure that the dog will received 2 trainings sessions, 6 weeks of basic obedience in a socialized class and one six week session of either advanced obedience or CGC. That has to be completed by 1/31/2021 in order not to loose the deposit and for us not to recover the dog.
