SWEET REMY HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY REMY isd a 1.5 year old DUTCH SHEPHERD (WITH A TOUCH OF MAL THROWN IN FOR GOOD MEASURE). She is absolutely gorgeous and well trained. She was previously owned by 3 families who each in turn turned her over to another family who finally dropped her at the local shelter, which is where she came top us.
Remy knows how to sit, down, come when called, shake hands and watch for commands. She is affectionate when she gets to know you which takes a few minutes. She is treat motivated and loves to play and be engaged with her master.
We have had her with our foster trainer Gail for 5 days and she grows attached quickly. She likes to ladies but totally respects an alpha male. Our observations show that she would be best with a strong demonstrative family, no kids (although she is totally fine with children) and with someone who has the time to spend with her. She is a bit skittish at first but is OK with most dogs. Untested with cats. She does do her commands in German and in English but we are pushing her toward English. She weighs about 75 pounds and she will not get any bigger. We have given her all shots and we will spay her as soon as the next opening comes up, but she can be adopted before that so long as the person will take her to the clinic to be fixed. She is HW Neg and otherwise healthy and in great shape.
