STEWART HAS A NEW FAMILY

STEWART came into the rescue on Saturday 8/17 and is being fostered in Cleweston. We found a local Bonita area foster (possibly foster-to-adopt) for him so he can get his shots and neuter asap at Gulf Coast on Tues.
Stewart has shown himself to be a sweet dog. He was very scared when he was turned into the shelter, so much so his legs were shaking when he was first taken out for a walk. He still is somewhat hand-shy because who know what they did to him at his first home??? He likes other dogs and people in general and he is house broken and crate trained amongst his other attributes which we have yet to learn.
Stewart is about 3 but no more than that. He was relinquished from a family who no longer wanted him and dumped him at a kill shelter. He showed us he was a good dog and has proven that now for a few days. He is settling in so we still don't know much more about him than that. Stewart is black and tan and weighs about 70 pounds. We have yet to HW test him but we do know he is dog and people friendly. He is living with cats and seems interested but not aggressive with them at all we still suggest NO CATS as we have not formerly tested him. He is engaged with people and makes an immediate effort to say Hi. Even with all he has been through he still can relate positively to people. He was very fearful at first but now that he is in a home environment he has settled down nicely.
I will have far better photos when he gets here or to his foster.
