HANDSOME NOAH HAS A NEW FAMILY NOAH came into the rescue on 8/3 and has been in a foster ever since. He was relinquished by his owner who is now in hospice and had to relinquish him to a high kill shelter on the East Coast. we brought him here and got him into a home with 2 other GSD's and a 5 year old child. From what we see he is dog friendly, well adjusted, people friendly and housebroken. We recommend an adult household. When he arrived he was covered in pee and poop and the conditions at that shelter were beyond awful. He was bathed a few times and has some skin issues surely resulting from 2 weeks in a hell hole with bad food, no attention and no access to outside. Since he has been here he shows himself as well adjusted and able to be in a home with a family and other dogs.
Noah weighs in at about 75+ pounds. He is HW NEG, up to date on shots and somewhat trained. He takes food gently and he is obedient. What we have found over these few days is that he bonded to the female in the home quickly and is possessive of her. We feel he was in a one person home and bonded with the owner (unsure male of female) to a degree that he was both a best friend and caretaker of the owner due to his being frail. He needs training and an assessment to show the new owner how to be alpha to him in such a way as to insure he fits in, but knows his place in the new 'pack'.
Noah is black and tan and quite handsome. He is an imposing male and yet a dog friendly dog who walks well on a lead and takes instructions very well both inside and outside the home. If Noah is of interest to you, please contact us to arrange a meeting.
