HANDSOME PUPPY NEKO HAS A NEW HOME

We have a family fostering who will probably adopt him. NEKO came to us today as a relinquishment because the owners could no longer care for him. Neko is a puppy who will require at least 6 weeks of basic obedience and 6 weeks of more advanced obedience. I worked him this afternoon and he is really eager to please. With the prong collar he did great on a walk, otherwise he was a puller. He is extremely attentive and willing to do what ever he is told. He does well taking treats and is highly motivated to please you. He does know sit, he is housebroken, crate trained, neutered and has all shots. We are awaiting a confirmation on HW but we tend to think he is HW Neg. but the tests will determine that. He is a 70 pound large dark sable male who will be 95 pounds. He is only 9-10 months old and loves to play. Sheps play rough, so if he's playing with another shep, he is great but we don't recommend he be placed with older dogs as he is all about action and wrestling. He needs to understand that you can't eat everything on the ground, including 'anything he finds' so he has to be kept in check and watched. He is not at all mouthy but needs to understand what is permitted with his big mouth and what's not. He has all the makings of a dog who likes ball and he will have some lessons with his foster. He is currently being housed in Venice and is available immediately to be seen. He is great with dogs and people but I would not place him with cats or small dogs since he has no clue how big he is and that can be an issue. I would trust him with kids but over 10 so they can understand his size and strength. He does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He is affectionate and seeks out attention readily. Neko is a truly handsome dog. He does have a flopped ear which seems to stand up on occasion. If NEKO works for you, let us know and set up a meeting after you do the paperwork and have your interview.
