SABEL HAS A NEW FAMILY SABEL came into rescue from Lee County on 7/11. That is typically a luck number and it surely was her her. She was a street dump and in need of medical care immediately. She has not been spayed but given all shots and a chip. She is Heartworm POS and will be treated for that condition by us at our expense immediately. She will be on medication for a week and then spayed and given her first dose of the HW Meds by next Wednesday after which she will need to be kept quite for 5 weeks. She is a sweet dog and energetic but needs to be kept in the home and quiet as much as possible so as to insure her ability to recover. She is dog friendly and seems not to have any issues with cats. We exposed her to a few cats and a rabbit with no real effect. She is about 80 pounds and has great fur and a pretty face. She is crate trained and was definitely someone's dog until she was dumped, probably because they didn't want to treat the HW. She knows some commands but is eager to please you and she is quite affectionate. She is being fostered in Bonita with 3 other dogs. We estimate her age as between 3-4 as she has no real signs of age on her muzzle. This is a great family dog and once cured will become one of the best dogs you have ever owned.
