SWEET CINDY HAS A NEW HOME

UPDATE 8-17-17 Tabitha has found a great new home and buddy through the efforts of Monica at My Buddies Pet Center. She and Adam were successful where i was not in finding this dog a new family. I cannot thank them both enough for their great work in training her and now finding her a new home!

UPDATE CINDY... WHO IS NOW CALLED TABITHA HAS BEEN IN BOOT CAMP FOR A WEEK. She has done exceptionally well in her training and although she still takes treats a bit rough she is becoming the perfect lady. She sits on command when other dogs are present, her barking in now minimal and she is as sweet and affectionate as they come. What a great girl. I spent an hour with her today Wednesday 8/2 and she was just as sweet as she could be. This puppy is really sweet and clever, loving and needs a great family. We still do not recommend her living with other pets. She is great in group, perfect for the dog park but there are still issues with her living with other pets. Cindy came into rescue today 7/8/2017. She came from Lee County and was spayed Monday. Cindy was dubbed TABITHA BY HER NEW TRAINER, is a sweet girl, great with people but a bit reactive with other dogs when she is in the kennel. We addressed this issue and that is all but gone when it comes to play groups or dog parks. We still see some issues with other dogs in a home setting and now recommend she be THE ONLY PET IN THE HOME. She is a puppy and was on the street and was scared, but now confident and affectionate, she meets dogs very well when introduced appropriately. She is super with meeting people and suitable for any NO PET family.
She was in the play yard at Gulf Coast and was fabulous when we took her. She has been in play group every day at My Buddies and has done exceptionally well with large and small dogs. She has refined her social skills in boot camp and she is truly affectionate and eager to learn with training and monitoring.
Her anxiety is higher when she is crated and when dogs pass by her crate she aggressively barks at them. She is non-reactive in play groups.
We have now put her in a play group daily and she did great. We put her in a home to learn potty skills and she has done quite well. I strongly feel her reactivity was because she just didn't know better and needed training and leadership.
She is a sable Female GSD at about 8-10 months of age. Her ears do flop but here one on one personality with people and play drive are exceptional. She does have flopped ears but they are starting to come up 1/2 way! She is Heartworm Neg, spayed and has a chip and all shots. She was a street stray. She is a high activity pup who will need a family who will put her through her paces. She would be great at dock diving, frisby, running and fly ball and given the training she deserves, she will be a fabulous family dog. She is NOT suitable with cats from what I see from her energy level and drive but as a pup that can change as well with training. She is extremely affectionate with people and bonds quickly. THIS LITTLE GIRL NEEDS A CHANCE AT A GREAT LIFE.
