SHELBY HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY SHELBY like many older dogs was discarded on the highway until picked up by a trooper who kept her in his car through his entire shift and she thoroughly enjoyed the attention. She was given to a local real estate agent who thought would foster her for a while and then adopt her. With 2 older dogs of her own she chose to give her to us for placement.
Shelby is about 8 years old. She is a semi long hair black and tan female GSD. She will be spayed Monday or Wednesday of next. She is miraculously heart worm NEG and has all shots and a chip which were done by the rescuer. She is an engaged dog with lots of life to live. She has no apparent hip issues and one small non visible fatty tumor which can easily be removed. She needs about 10 pounds and is a voracious eater so that will not be a problem.
She definitely knows how to open lever doors and she is now familiar with stairs. She learns quickly. She does not know her name yet but in a day or so she will. She loves people and engages immediately. She also loves dogs and has now met 5-6 of them and was a perfect lady. She is crate trained and housebroken as was proven by the foster who had her for a week. She slept next to the bed. I have her in a crate because that is where all rescues sleep for the first few nights. She weighs about 80 pounds and she is a big girl. If Shelby works for you please call to see her.
