SATURDAY AUGUST 20TH 2016 IS NATIONAL HOMELESS ANIMAL DAY.
WE ARE AT A DOG ADOPTION EVENT FROM 6 PM TO 8:30 PM SATURDAY NIGHT IN FT MYERS Good Afternoon,
I wanted to follow up my email with some additional details.
The International Society for Animal Rights (ISAR) conceived and commemorated International Homeless Animals' Day (IHAD) in 1992. IHAD is a worldwide recognized event observed annually on the third day of August.
Each and every year more and more animal protection organizations and concerned citizens band together to shed light on the tragedy of pet overpopulation and the importance of spaying and neutering. IHAD is established as the one day out of the year where we all come together, publically united in our mission to win the war on pet overpopulation.
With this in mind, please join us this Saturday August 20th from 6:30-8:30pm, downtown Ft. Myers on Hendry Street between Bay Street and Edwards Dr. for a candlelight vigil to memorialize all of the pets that were euthanized over the last year. We encourage rescues to set up a table, bring adoptable pets and spread awareness. This is a pet friendly event for the public.
For additional information about the International Society for Animal Rights and the global event International Homeless Animals' Day, please visit their site at this link:

I look forward to hearing from you.
