ROBERTO HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY WHO WILL FOSTER HIM FOR A WHILE THEN ADOPT. ROBERTO came to us in late June from Lee County along with Luka, his girl friend. He was an in tact male GSD who was neutered 7/7/16 Thursday. He was probably a stud dog in a back yard breeding operation that thankfully no longer exists. We believe that since the owner would not take him back because he was to be fixed that he was simply a breeder. So without him on the street we will have effectively stopped, albeit for a short time, the breeding of more pups.
Roberto is untrained. He does walk well on a lead and is seemingly dog friendly. He is very affectionate and responsive to people and will seek attention immediately once he sees you. He does jump but had calmed down considerably. He is crate trained. Roberto weighs about 85 pounds and he is about 5 years old. He is Heartworm POSITIVE and will be treated at our expense as soon as practical after he is re-homed or fostered. He is a calm dog who was probably left in the back yard most of the time. We do not know if he is housebroken or not at this juncture. He is currently in our N Ft Myers kennel. If you are looking for a strong handsome male dog, he is a great choice. He is playful but needs his HW shots asap. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO FOSTER HIM WE WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.
