REGGIE HAS A NEW HOME WE DO HAVE A FAMILY COMING TO SEE HIM TOMORROW REGGIE is a 1.5 year super handsome large male silver and black GSD. He weighs about 100 pounds now and he is not fully grown. He will fill out a bit more but not get taller or longer. He is really sweet and loves to play ball and to be with dogs and people. He was a foster failure by one of our foster team but they have decided to surrender him for regular adoption based on his size. He is a real gentleman with other dogs and had the chance to play with 2 of mine before moving on. They ran him and he ran them ragged for 2 hours. He enjoys swimming and running for miles with a golf cart. He is healthy, HW neg, chipped and neutered. He has had some obedience but definitely needs more work. HE IS MOUTHY AND NEEDS A STRONG ASSERTIVE LEADER. He is extremely social and loves to squeak toys and to play fetch. He loves the dog park and to swim and he has spent time in day care. He is crate trained and takes leash corrects and a pinch collar very well. We found that he is way too interested in cats so I recommend no cat homes but that too can change. Reggie was turned over to us from a great guy in the health care profession who, because of his ridiculous hours, had no real quality time to spend with him and decided that what was best for Reggie was a new home with people who have the time to play with and train him properly.
We do notice that Reggie was permitted to get away with lots of stuff and needs basic obedience with a strong hand to get this big puppy back in line. He responds well to corrections and he is not at all aggressive but a brat and somewhat stubborn at first until a dominance is established. If you feel this youngster is right for you please do not hesitate to call for an appointment. KEEP AN EYE ON THIS PAGE AS WE WILL BE SHOWING HIM TOMORROW 11/18 BUT IF THEY DO NOT TAKE HIM HE WILL BE UP FOR GENERAL ADOPTION.
He is currently in our kennel.
