BETSY HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY BETSY came into us today 4/26 from a law enforcement seizure and confiscation where the owners went to jail and the dogs were taken to be rehomed. Betsy is a black and tan female GSD who weighs about 70 pounds. She is extremely sweet but super scared and not at all comfortable with her surroundings. She has her tail tucked during our entire visit together. I could easily see that she was frightened because of the change in her surroundings and missing her owner. No matter what type of criminal this person was, he did care for these two dogs and their fur and temperament show that quite well. She loved being touched but scampered back to her crate because that was a safe place. She had been in quarantine for a week and was fearful of change. She is by no means a fear biter but quite the opposite in that she loved being petted and spoken to softly. Shad has not had much training but does seem to be house broken and quite obedient. She needs an understanding family to care for her and bring her out of her shell. She will be a super family dogs and I believe she is suitable for any family with kids, grand parents or any couple or any person. She will bond quickly and looks to her handler readily for direction. Once she becomes sure of herself she will turn around from this shy girl to a fabulous companion. She is HW negative and spayed and has a soft full coat.
