WALLY NEEDS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY

UPDATE: WALLY MAY STAY IN HIS HOME WALLY was going to be put down but we were just in time saving him. He was an in-tact BLACK AND TAN male GSD who was snipped a few months ago. He was also HW POSITIVE which was treated last month with is first shot. Wally weighs about 78 pounds but will be 85 when he gets his girth back. He is extremely social with people and dogs and a really engaged dog... a joy to be around. HE HAS SHOWN THAT HE IS A ONE PERSON DOG and especially likes the ladies. as a result was returned from his foster because he was just not able to deal with the other male family members. He like some and not others but was NOT aggressive besides barking. He clearly showed that his mom was his and that when she was approached by others he would bark continually.
He was emaciated when we first saw him in the shelter. Because of his HW condition and his ears and eye problem they just wanted him to be either rescued or euthanized because no one wanted him. He ear issue has been treated and is resolving, but even with the annoyance of an ear infection his is a fabulous dog. He have had all of his surgeries done and he is now healthy.
When I saw this animated boy and he saw me it was a love connection. He is a tremendous dog with lots to offer any family regardless of age. He is alert smart house broken and totally sighted and alert in spite of the blue tint in his eye. He has other minor issues which are medically being treated. He is house broken and has been in foster for a week. He was definitely someone's dog who they dumped on the street and left for dead.
He had an ear issue that is cleared up now and with medication is gone. He went to the vet and was treated for that problem. He has something going on in his left eye that I am told is nothing to concern ourselves about because as I saw he is fully sighted. He may have some hearing loss because of his chronic ear issues but he is a sweet attentive dog best suited for someone older and more relaxed and especially a woman.

I gave him and another dog in the shelter a bath which he loved and my wife did his toes that hadn't been cut in 6 months. We believe he is about 4-6 years old and had a hard life primarily spent outside which is indicated by his fly bite ear condition. His ears will never be perfect cosmetically but they are now growing back hair, but his temperament and the love he exudes is priceless. Wally is an affectionate dog with lots to look forward to. He knows basic commands and responds to both voice and hand signals for sit and down. He like belly rubs. Wally is in foster now and can be seen by appointment. If you want to meet him at my house, you can call me to arrange a meet and greet at most any time.
If you are looking for a great dog to save, this is surely one of them.

THESE ARE NOT CURRENT PHOTOS BUT I WILL HAVE SOME IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS
