PRISCILLA HAS A SPECIAL single dog HOME

UPDATE; PIRCILLA LOOKS LIKE SHE HAS BEEN ADOPTED.... BY HER FOSTER AND SHE WAS! Pricilla's story is truly a sad one for my rescue. She first came to us as a 6 month old puppy 8 years ago this month. She in fact was dog number one for our rescue which is now at 782. She was adopted out to a disabled navy vet who lost a limb in the Gulf war. He seemed like a great guy but turned out to be an asshiole of the first order. He turned out to be a liar and an animal abuser as well. We tried to recover the dog numerous times after we discovered his issues but we were unsuccessful. He finally fled the area and could not be tracked. We participated in getting her into a service dog status for him and she was able to do quite a few things for this guy. We lost track of the dog 7.5 years ago and then suddenly last evening (3/25/16) we got a call from Lakeland SPCA telling us she was turned in as a stray. She was chipped and we were on as the owners since he never registered the chip as he promised to do. We later found out that this SOB brought her in himself stating she was a stray because he didn't wish to take care of her.

Her condition is cosmetically poor, but miraculously she is HW Negative and all of her issues will resolve with the right food and meds and TLC . He had fed her crappy food for quite a while and as a direct result she developed ear and skin allergies which have caused a considerable amount of her fur to fall out around her face and belly. I have given her 2 baths and brushed her and now she feels considerably better. She has an ear infection and an eye infection, both of which are easily treated by meds we have and as with her skin, will clear up in a few weeks time. The skin issues are NOT demodex or anything besides an allergic reaction to crappy grain food. We will be doing her toenails and ears and eyes later this afternoon and she will be on the road to a quick recovery in all areas. She is a happy dog and likes being here with me.

Pircilla is an 8 year old black female GSD. She is quite loving and affectionate. We think she is not compatible with cats because she reacted to them at the shelter. She has all shots and she is spayed and was well trained. She will bark at dogs she meets but then quiets right down. She has not yet met our pack which will come in the next few days. She will be staying here with me in my office until she is rehomed. (We do have an interested party coming next week to see her)

She deserves a great home with 100% love and affection and we hope to find that person or family very soon. If you feel you are that person, please do not hesitate to call.
After being here for a few days now we have learned that she has a high prey drive and would not be suitable for a home with cats or small dogs. I feel she would be best served in a home where there were no other animals so she can bond and be the queen.
I have purposefully NOT put lots of photos of her up on the site because she needs to get well before I put up others shots. These are after 5 days with us.

Her original photo is at this address on the site.
