JAYCEE HAS A SPECIAL HOUSEHOLD JAYCEE is a 1 year old female black and tan GSD. She is a perfect example of being adopted in good faith from a rescue and the rescue not disclosing the unique behavioral quirks of the dog. Even once discovered the rescue failed to re-home the dog leaving the adopter in the lurch. If you adopt a dog be certain you know who you are getting it from... enough said.
So here is Jaycee, a seemingly sweet 1 year old spayed female who has some kid issues in the home. She is extremely protective of her young children and snaps and becomes agitated when they play rough as boys will. She is an accident waiting to happen and the parents have decided that what is best for her is re-homing to a family with no kids and no small dogs.
Jaycee has begun clicker training and is doing exceptionally well. She is obedient and responsive but the lingering issue is her protectiveness and unpredictability with and around her kids and especially their friends. She is great with other dogs and has play dates all of the time. She is not afraid of people outside the home but has a high degree of cautiousness when introduced to new people and surroundings. This is a girl that needs a strong yet compassionate hand of a family or person with no kids or grandchildren, no cats and plenty of time to give her the training and attention she needs.

update we do have someone coming to see her on Wed.
