JUNIOR HAS A HOME WITH A SPECIAL FAMILY Junior is the worst case of abuse I have ever seen coming from a turn-in. Junior was owned by an idiot; a compassionless, oblivious, selfish family who knowing that he was having issues continued to neglect him for 3+ years. This is the type of asinine family who i would like to see arrested or be treated the same as they treated him. There is no abuse worse than animal neglect and no punishment strong enough for me in a case like this.
That said the daughter finally extracted the dog from the home and brought him here. he is amazingly HW negative, negative for lyme and has no other parasites. By the way, just to add insult to injury, their moron vet never reported it but simply made notes that the animal progressively was getting worse and did nothing to address the problem. He too is a pig. No offense to pigs.
The dog is about 20 pounds underweight. his fur was a mess and his skin allergies and yeast infections have made his life very uncomfortable. We have him now on meds and what the vet recommended to try to get him back to stable. He is going to be just fine and in 3 months time will be as good as new. All the while his personality is perfect. He likes other dogs and cats, people and is having fun in spite of his condition. He does like to play ball, walk on a lead, play with other dogs and ride in the car. he is crate trained and housebroken and never lived outside. His condition is solely oriented around feeding him the wrong food. Grain foods are poison to GSD and they knew that when the fed it to him.
Junior is 8 years old. He has semi long hair and his hips seem fine. he will have lots of life left in him once we get him back to stable. He looks like crap now but give me time and with the help of my fosters, we will get him better very soon. if you would like to foster him until he regains his fur and strength please come forward and let us know.
