NEMO NEEDS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY
NEMO IS A SPECIAL NEEDS DOG, FILL OF LIFE, LOVE AND PURPOSE
NEMO LOVES PEOPLE, KIDS DOGS AND CATS
UPDATE WE HAD A FAMILY SEE HIM TODAY WHO INTRODUCED THEIR ROTTIE TO HIM AND THEY BECAME INSTANT FRIENDS. NEMO IS IN FOSTER FOR A WEEK PENDING ADOPTION
Nemo is a 3 legged black handsome male GSD. hE IS NOW 3 YEARS OLD. He lost his right front leg at birth and has never known life without his leg so he is totally comfortable in his condition. Nemo is not slow, can climb stairs, is totally obedient and house broken. He is neutered and up to date on all shots. Nemo weighs about 85 pounds and he is solid muscle.
Nemo likes people and has grown up with kids, babies, cats and other dogs. He is very social with people and greets you upon meeting. He is an alpha male and would be fine with a passive dog of either gender. He has lived wit up to 6 other dogs and is perfect. Because of his condition he would best be placed in a calm household where he can be loved. He is 3 years old and his medical prognosis is that he probably will develop some arthritis in his front leg in years to come but for the foreseeable future he is just fine. He is healthy and in great physical shape. Because he only has 3 legs there are things he can't do that well, but in most every case he can do anything required of him that any other fully limbed dog can do. His temperament however is exceptional and his looks are stellar.
He was adopted by a family in Naples and was there for about 5 months. They love him and he loved them. Life has taken a few twists and turns for them medically and the family is forced to return him. He has grown extremely attached to the man and their bond is exceptional. The wife is incapacitated and has had a very small role in dealing with him. He is excellent with her wheel chair (he soon will have one of his own. He is a great companion and an excellent dog. After that Nemo went into a foster for 3 months with 6 other dogs. he thrived and was then adopted by a family with 2 smaller dogs and a small child. He fell in love with the family and was supposedly their forever dog. 2 days ago the owner David was in a horrific motorcycle accident and will be in no condition for many months to do much of anything. They have decided as much as they love him that he has to be rehomed again. Nemo is a special dog! He is a love and a pleasure to be around. If you have the band width to take on a great dog, please call us asap. This update is March 9 2017 and the accident was March 7 2017.
If this Tripod works for you please call us and arrange a meeting.
WE DID SET UP A GOFUNDME ACCOUNT TO GET HIM A WHEELCHAIR WHICH HAS NOW BEEN PAID FOR AND MADE AND DELIVERED WHICH OF COURSE COMES WITH HIM; THE CHAIR NEEDS WORK AND HE NEEDS PRACTICE IN IT, HOWEVER WITH THE RIGHT OWNER THAT CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED IN A FEW MONTHS TIME.
