GOOBER HAS A HOME Goober originally came to us from a central Florida high kill shelter. The officer there charged with this unpleasant task called me and said this was one special dog and he needed to be pulled. His original name was Paco. Goober did get pulled on the day of his euth by us and was taken to our shelter. He did not like being caged because doggy jail just isn't fun at all. We began to take him out in a play group and saw what we recognized was a special dog. He is a completely stable dog that tolerates any dog, loves people and is a great companion.
Yes Goober isn't a full GSD... that's visually apparent, but what you can't see by photos is that this dog is fabulous and is one of the best temperament dogs we have ever had. He was probably in a home before he was dumped because he will not pee or poop in his kennel. He is eager to learn and responsive to people. He bonds fast. He is a funny dog and comes to see what everyone is doing so as not to miss any of the action. He has all shots, chipped and HW Negative.
Goober appears to be about 1 year old and sable in color. He probably will not get much bigger than his 45 pound frame (maybe 55 pounds at best) and yet he has a presence that is far beyond his size and visual stature. Goober is a stable dog who defines the word balanced in "Cesar Melan' terms. He has been playing with up to 40 different dogs with all sorts of energy levels and did great every time. These play groups have from 20 to 45 dogs in at one time,, so you can really see how the dog will interact and behave amongst his peers.
Goober was neutered today 10/8 and is in a foster home with 3 dogs. He is ready to find a home NOW. If you are looking for a great pet and are not fixated on a pure GSD, but rather will tolerate a GSD wanna be, then Goober is a good choice for your family.
