TISH WILL NOW BE KNOWN AS CHARLIE... THE SELF PROCLAIMED FLIER NEEDS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY

UPDATE CHARLIE IS BEING FOSTERED FOR A FEW DAYS PRIOR TO ADOPTION. CHARLIE (WHO WAS TISH) was found in an unusual situation. A family who had 2 GSD's was in their backyard enjoying dinner. They knew they had 2 dogs but when the looked down they had 3. Charlie came into their backyard by jumping the 4 foot fence, made friends with their dogs (shep mixes) and instantly decided he liked the place and stayed. No one knew where he came from and through exhaustive efforts never found out where he actually belonged. He was unchipped and was probably dumped. Charlie is a black and tan male GSD with a defined saddle and a few white spots on his tail and paws. he is a handsome dog and extremely affectionate and great with people. HE NEEDS WORK WITH OTHER DOGS. GSD's are clever and in his case found the most suitable home in the area and stayed. The family have had him for weeks (ending 9/25) with no success on finding the owner and so they turned him over to us. We got him on Saturday at 3 and more photos and a better more accurate profile will follow.
Here is what we have learned. Charlie is somewhat dog averse. He is not what I would call aggressive since he doesn't lunge but does bark when he sees another dog. When he is off lead, he is calm and meets dogs far better that when contained. He does go in his kennel but needs coaxing. he is a good eater and a very attentive dog who listens well to commands and walk well on a lead. he had some training somewhere at some time in his life but he needs a refresher course asap. He will be fixed on Wed of this week. If Charlie looks like a dog you may want, please let me know. He appears to be about a 1+ year old and black and tan at about 70 pounds. He is a puppy so training is essential but he appears to be housebroken and somewhat obedient, given we don't know what to call him. I have named him Tish but i was over-ridden and we are calling him CHARLIE from now on... knowing that his name will probably be changed as soon as he is adopted.
