THUNDER HAS A HOME THUNDER IS A SPECIAL NEEDS DOG WITH HEARING LOSS BUT OTHERWISE HEALTHY AND ACTIVE LOVING OBEDIENT CALM AND HOUSEBROKEN A PERFECT OLDER PET. Thunder came to us today from his owner who can no longer afford his care. Thunder is a 9 year old white GSD. He is the sweetest dog going, more like a pillow then a dog. He loves people, kids cats and dogs and has only love to give. he has some medical problems such as cataracts in his eyes, some gum issues and poor skin and coat due totally the the crappy food he was eating. He is heart worm NEG and house broken, playful, walks well on a lead and loving. He is a dog perfectly suited to a family who wants to love an animal but doesn't have the physical ability to run a dog or have small kids to play with him. He is content to be in the house and with you as he has been for the past 8+ years. He loves companionship. he has no fears nor hang ups. He is good with thunder and other issues and he will alert when someone comes but rarely barks or creates a fuss. He thinks everyone is there to play with him. Thunder weighs about 85 pounds and he is in otherwise good shape. He likes to walk and needs that for his weakened hips. He does show signs of dysplasia but most do at that age. The picture is this... he is an old boy who does love life, people and pets. he wants a family to allow him to live out his days in happiness and he will provide that love back to them 10 fold. He is a dog worth saving which is why we accepted him in rescue; so we need to find a family that will see beyond his physical ailments and into him as a great proud dog wishing to become part of their family. He just got his bath, nails and skin done. He loved his bath and liked being rubbed down. Thunder is now in foster in the Naples area but you can see him when ever you wish.
