TARA HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY and a sister! TARA is a mostly black 2 year old spayed female GSD. She is up to date on all shots and she is heart worm negative. She is being surrendered by a family who has 2 small children one of whom is allergic to the dog and can no long have the dog in their home without doing harm to the child. The family has had the dogs since they were puppies and have had them in their home with their young children since that time. Tara has a 3 year old brother who is also listed here on the site. Tara has a good strong human instinct and is extremely good with young kids and other dogs. She is yet untested with cats. Tara weighs about 65 pounds and she is house trained, crate trained and has some basic obedience. She is a house dog and always has been. She is not destructive and calm but will alert and protect by her very nature. She is obedient and responsive to commands and attentive to the kids in the home.
UPDATE: TARA has now lived here for a day. She is extremely attached to her bother and goes everywhere he goes but she is the dominate leader without question. They were out today at Petsupermarket and did fabulous with cats and people. They even went to Walgreens and got a cookie. Jax was a bit stressed but he is now doing considerably better here at the house then in the kennel. Tara was extremely stressed in the kennel and because we thought she would shut down took both back to the house. In just 1 day her fur went dull and she was definitely stressed by not being in her original home. She is a great dog and will make some famil a fabulous pet. We have a family coming tomorrow to see JAX and hopefully will fall in love with both.
