HANDSOME BO HAS A NEW FAMILY BO came to us this evening 8/16/15. I just put him in our kennel much to my dismay. BO is a '10' amongst dogs. he is trained, house broken, affectionate and obedient. His owners, who got him as a puppy gave him away because basically they were unable to control him. The were not alpha to the dog and he didn't respect them.... or so we were told. Upon further examination we find him to be a sweet loving dog who takes direction, shows affection, is calm and obedient and will work with anyone for a pet and some cheese. He did seem a bit afraid of one of our trainers. Upon seeing this he got down on his knee and approached Bo in a calm way and before 30 seconds had passed BO was in his lap giving kisses. We believe there is more to the 'give up saga' than we were told but regardless, BO is here and safe and BO will surely find a person or family that will love him. Bo is great with kids and a bit 'fearful' and otherwise apprehensive wit other dogs. we tested him with Rudy our test dog and he was totally calm and laid down. Rudy told us he was fine but somewhat scared of change and new dogs and people but quickly warms up.
Bo is due to have his shots upon adoption as he is due 9/15 for all 3 shots. He is HW Negative and house broken, non-destructive and crate trained. He does immediately seek you out and he is responsive to commands.
Bo weighs about 95 pounds and he is black and tan. BO is neutered and has been for 4 years. He is an impressive dog with good hips and in great health. Only BO knows why he was dumped but we believe in this dog and we know he will make a fabulous pet for any family. At first we recommend no other dogs and no cats because he is yet untested by us with them. He did live with 2 pugs early in his life. The family did have lots of grand children and BO dis very well with kids. He is afraid of thunder and yet we didn't see that since he was here during a loud thunder storm. Much of the data we have is untested or verified but as we find out more it will be reported.
