BEAUTIFUL AND SWEET LUNA HAS A NEW FAMILY Luna came to us last week 3/28/15. We took her from a kind couple who found her wondering on the streets of Cape Coral. She was actually chipped but the owner decided to dump her and assigned her to our rescue. Her fur was dirty, she was flea covered and her pads are cut and soar. We have had her in a foster for a week and she has improved drastically. She is no longer in any pain and her pads are healing beautifully. She is flea free and HW Neg, happy and ready for adoption.
Luna is a fantastic dog who just wants to love someone. She bonds in minutes with everyone. Since she bonds fast and was unbelievably tolerant of the the bath and meeting lots of new people we feel she is suitable for any family, especially with kids. She is very people oriented and super friendly. She does establish herself with other dogs and is very social. She quickly responds positively to every meet and greet we did and is no problem in any setting. She would be suitable with kids but we believe she is tolerant of cats because of her soft demeanor. Her first foster night with the people who found her showed that she was in fact house trained, not destructive and extremely calm. She knows when people love her and responds quickly to kindness and touch. She would be easily trained and she is food motivated.
She was tested for HW and is NEG and was given all of her shots. She will also be spade in the next few week, but she can be adopted immediately and brought back (with a bond) to us for her spay and any other medical work she needs. Her pads were cut and raw and she will need some short term care to help her heal.
She is a white female weighing in at about 62 pounds. She is somewhat underweight but otherwise healthy and in god physical shape. She definitely had puppies but she will be spayed next week.
If Luna fills a void in your home and heart please call me at 941 575 0243 to arrange a meet and greet!

Hi,
Luna is one of the most playful ,goofy ,happy, exuberant GS I have ever met. Needs very active family
If you hold up a leash she dances. She needs work on the walks but it's clear she has not been walked on a leash before. But after 10 min she got the hang of it so she is a fast learner. She is crate trained, good with calm dogs, assertive pushy dogs scare her, a bit spooked by cats but she does not harm them. She does give chase but if I tell her leave it she turns and stops immediately.
Her playful dancing could be to rough for small kids, she is a tiny bit mouthy. I almost hesitate to mention it as it's easily corrected by telling her "no", but for a small child might be to much.
She is fostering with a collie,GS, papillon, chihuahua and 4 cats. Luna is one of those dogs that you hate to let go. She will be an amazing companion and if I had the room you wouldn't be reading this. She is a keeper.
