BEAUTIFUL SNOWFLAKE NEEDS A HOME
Snowflake has been the the shelter now for almost 2 weeks. She was picked up as a street stray, probably a breeding bitch, but her story is that she was then dumped by the moron back yard breeder that owner her. She was spayed Tues 3/10 and will be at my kennel. We did have someone looking at her but we have found she is not housebroken and was not acceptable. We have begun training her and she is now able to understand to pee outside. As she was probably kept for her life in a kennel, she knew nothing more then to 'go' where she lived. I truly hope the pig who kept and then dumped her rots in hell. She was adopted out 1 day after her spay so we think that could be a contributing factor to her seemingly being not housebroken. We do want people to know that she did seem housebroken initially but now knowing she was not right after surgery, we can only recommend that she be trained or made intro an outside dog unless you are willing to teach her where to go and to go pee and poo on a leash. THIS SITUATION CAN BE FIXED WITH TIME AND WE HAVE ACTIVELY BEGUN HER TRAINING.
This is one super sweet and affectionate dog. She immediately seeks out people and attention, rubs and hugs and just does the GSD lean as soon as she meets you. Her beautiful brown eyes just beg to be taken home and loved. She would be fabulous with any family including small children. She is extremely sweet and loving... in fact more so than many.
Snowflake is about 3 years old and about 60 pounds and can gain some weight. She is heart worm positive which can be the cause of her looking a bit thin but that will be taken care of in the next few months by us, so no worries. After treatment she will have to stay quiet for 5 weeks and then she will be cured. She is somewhat trained and very sweet. She comes when called, sits on command and seeks attention immediately when meeting someone. She is definately dog friendly but the jury is out on cats. She is social and craves affection and is totally a clam dog. She does not like being kenneled but does accept it after some whining. She loves people and seeks out attention readily. She is white with a hint of brown at the tips of her fur with brown eyes, otherwise she is a white GSD.
If you think Snowflake could make your life better, please continue to check out the site for further developments. If you have the time to teach her please come forward as this is a tremendous dog.
