SWEET GRACIE NEEDS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY Gracie will be here on Sunday. She is a sweet dispositioned 1.5 year old female GSD. She is up to date on all shots and is HW Neg. She is black and tan and about 60 pounds. She is a lousy eater which is the reason for her light weight. She is spayed, trained, house broken and has lived with a baby. She is OK with cats, basically disinterested and would do fine with cats if introduced properly. She is one issue that is easily rectified which is jumping at the door to get in. She likes to be with you, as do most GSD's do, so we recommend that she be with a family that has the time top spend with her. Gracie has been trained and is social but would prefer to be with people than dogs. She does like little dogs in particular very well and plays with them but seems more aloof with larger dogs.
She is not a resource guarder, nor is she in any way aggressive, in fact she is a major kisser. She needs to be trained with a soft touch and treats and definitely needs an alpha in the home, as she tends to ignore direct commands. She is afraid of loud noises and seeks refuge in her crate during thunder storms or the 4th of July fireworks. She is tremendous with people, seeks attention immediately and loves human her baby sister. She tolerates the baby's activities and the chaos that an infant delivers around the house but doesn't like outside loud noises.
She is an attention hound and wants to be loved 24/7. we want a family who will love her back as much as possible so that the transition is easy and seamless. She loves praise and responds to hands on attention. She is crate trained but doesn't like being in it for long periods and will whine to get out. She is not at all destructive or aggressive and would do well in any home. She seems to like being home more than going out but that can be easily changed with raising her activity level making it more desirable to go out and play, a luxury she doesn't have now with a double working household. We will have better photos on Sunday but for now, Gracie is available to go home Sunday. If you are interested please call immediately as she will not last the weekend.
