DUTCH NEEDS A HOME Dutch is being housed by his current care taker in West Palm. He came here today for an evaluation. Dutch is a long hair black and tan male GSD. He is neutered and partially trained. He is social with people, loves kids, NO CATS, and has a way to go to accept other dogs. He had lived on a farm in TN until his owner passed away and he was taken by a relative family who cannot care for him and has no place to keep him. We were unable to keep him here few a few reasons, primarily his reactivity to other dogs. He is not off the charts, but with training can be OK., Anyone getting him needs to immediately put him in training so to develop his social skills. He is a prime example of an owner not socializing his dog. Dutch weighs in at about 110. He is NOT up to date on his shots but that would be addressed before any adoption takes place. Since he is being housed on the East Coast, you must make an appointment to see him.
This is a great dog, don't get my wrong. What he needs is training and with that he will be fantastic. His appearance is stellar and his ability to relate to people outstanding. Our issue was his reactivity which can be changed with a proper owner and proper training. If Dutch seems like a challenge you wish to take, please call us immediately as we need to get him situated as soon as possible.
