KELISEE FOUND A HOME

KELISEE FOUND A NEW FAMILY THROUGH THE EFFORTS OF SUN COAST HUMANE. WHAT A GREAT JOB THEY DID! Kelisee is a 2 year old Sable female GSD. She is spayed and up to date on all shots and heart worm negative. We know Kelisee from her training with us at the Peace River Dog Fanciers Club. She passed all of her basic obedience tests and did get her Canine Good Citizen, although she had some issues. Kelisee is a good girl but somewhat fearful. She is a bit difficult to get to know but comes around nicely once she is your friend. She is NOT suitable to be housed with other smaller dogs and we have some concerns with her with owners who would not assume the alpha role immediately. She has been good with kids but because she is still fearful, each family will be evaluated on a case by case basis. She is about 65 pounds and beautiful. She walks well on a lead but again has some fearful tendencies when meeting other dogs and people, NO CATS.
She was surrendered by a good family after an incident involving a bite with their little dog. The dog was OK but the issue was such that they decided to re-home her. They decided that Kelisee was just unstable to be around little guys and turned her over to Sun Coast Humane where is is today.
