BEAUTIFUL NIKKI NEEDS A NEW FAMILY AND HOME
update: It looks like Nikki has a new home. We have a family coming tomorrow morning for her. Nikki is an absolutely beautiful 6 year old female spayed black and tan GSD. She is a BIG girl at 85 pounds and extremely sweet and gentle. She needs leash training and anyone adopting her must put her in a 6 week course, at an approved school, if you are out of the area. If you live here orf near Punta Gorda she will have to be enrolled in our Cape Coral Sunday classes. These classes cost $165 for 6 weeks of training. She does need some socialization work but we feel she is an easy subject and will be an excellent student.
Nikki is a super calm dog. She has lived with a cat and 3 kids and is a perfect family dog. She is housebroken, crate trained and super people friendly. we have not engaged her with our dogs as yet but that will happen this week. She is currently living at her home in Lehigh and will remain there until she is adopted. If you wish to see her you will need to make an appointment for a weekend day as the owners work and would only be available on their schedule. Because this is a holiday time, that schedule may be very flexible, so call us and we will make the arrangements to have her here for a meet and greet.
Nikki is very people friendly and responds well to her pack leader. She seems to us to be happy and loves life. She loves water and although we have not had her in the pool, we think she would love that as she like to play with the hose. She is not at all food aggressive nor has ever had any issue with kids or destroying any property. She stays in the home alone daily for 7+ hours and has never had accidents nor done any damage. She is well adjusted and yet would be protective if the situation presented itself. We like this dog and feel for her family. She is being given up because of the family loosing their home and having to rent.
We do know from the vet that she has had some early signs of hip issues but we did not see anything at all that would indicate a problem exists now. She also had her ACL repaired when she was about 2 and that too is healed and shows no sign of a problem. We do not recommend that anyone run her for long distances, both because she is a bit plump and that would be bad on her heart and because she had an ACL tare when she was younger.
If yo wish to see her, please call us asap.
