HALO'S OWNERS HAVE DECIDED TO KEEP HER
HALO first CAME INTO OUR RESCUE, THURSDAY 12/10. She is 3-4 year old spayed female, red and black GSD. She is now 100% housebroken even though she was in a home. She is heart worm negative and chipped. She never went in her kennel during the days at the shelter but of late has had some poop accidents in the house where she has been for a few months time. She is being re-homed because the family just isn't right for her nor do they have the time she needs. Halo has always been in a loving home and has never been abused. Not every dog bonds with every person thus re-homing is best for Halo.
hALO HAD BEEN IN HER SECOND HOME FOR 4 MONTHS and is now being re-homed again. The owner is surrendering her because she is far too much dog for him and his life style. Halo has lived over these past months predominately outside in an enclosure inside a barn. She is a dog that needs training which both owners failed to provide. She need to be a one dog household which both owner failed to provide. She needs structure which both owners failed to provide. We know Halo can be a great pet but only with the right owner.

She has all of her shots and is super friendly with people and dogs after a few minutes of introduction but she is best suited for a single dog household. We also believe that she should be in a home with older kids. She seems to love attention and touch an she is somewhat trained. She does know sit but she is easy to train with treats and phrase so no worries there. She likes to swim. She seems to like cats and dogs and after introductions to about 4-5 dogs she was totally friendly. We recommend however that she be in a ONE DOG HOUSEHOLD as we have seen over these last few months that she is alpha and takes over quickly. She is a great dog, don't get me wrong, but we do not think she is the best in a multiple dog household. She had no reaction when placed in a room full of cats but here again she is untested in a home with cats and we recommend against other animals. She has alpha tendencies so I would watch for that, but otherwise she is extremely responsive and ready to learn. She loves car rides and jumps into the truck on command. She is not a barker or whiner but does seek you out immediately to say Hi. She is a great family dog for a family of any age with no other pets. We feel she is stellar around kids. If you think you have a place in your home and heart for this great dog, please call me asap. 941 575 0243 She will be housed at our Mello St kennel after tomorrow Thursday 3/22/15
