WELL HELLO DOLLY... WOULDN'T IT BE NICE TO HAVE YOU HERE AT MY HOUSE! Dolly was picked up as a street stray but she did have a collar and a name tag that said. "Hello, my name is Dolly" but nothing else. Dolly was obviously just let our of a car and dropped in the street in the hope she would be found by someone like me. I am happy to report that is what happened. Sarasota County Animal Control brought her in and no one claimed her, making her ours to re-home. This dog is one great find. She is now 11 months old and has been in a home for the past 6 months. She is pretty, calm, gentle, and trained. She has recently shown some signs of being aggressive but we do not feel this is her temperament, but rather her being an adolescent and trying to move up in the pack. She is not recommended for a house with a cat or a small dog. She is dog friendly outside the home and can go to the dog park or beach with no issues, her problem seems to be living with others where she wants to be in charge. She is extremely people friendly and a generally super sweet dog. She is crate trained, knows all commands in English, hand signals and German. She is house broken, crate trained and polite. We do know she is healthy and she is heart worm negative so that is a major deal... Whoopie
We know the following. She has all shots and she is spayed this week and she weighs in at about 60 pounds. She is on the smaller side but she is very young, about 11 months old and she will grown for another year. She is black and tan and she has great ears and did I mention a pretty face.
To adopt her you will need to sign up for training and pay for that at the time of adoption. The fee is $165. Remember the adoption fees goes up in Jan. She will need1 basic 6 week obedience class.
