SUPER CHIEF HAD A FOREVER HOME BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT DID NOT WORK WELL AND HE IS AVAILABLE AGAIN FOR ADOPTION
Chief came to us this back in Feb of 2014. His dad was in the hospital and his mom just could not handle him. Chief has some issues in being protective and selective with is friends. Is is by no means aggressive but needs focused training in order to accept everyone and anyone in his home. Our feeling is that with a single dog household, no cats, and a strong leader, he will do well. He definitely needs to be in a doggy boot camp in order to learn that the new owner is in charge and all decisions are made by him and not by Chief.
Chief is a four year old handsome Red/Black and Tan male GSD. He is about 75 pounds and the perfect size for his frame. He is not at all over or under weight and his fur is magnificent. He loves to play and he is very social but yet selective as to who he like and who he does not in the home. He seems to like dogs and lived with cats but he is over protective and we would prefer to have him be the only pet . He was friendly with our dogs and responded well to us at our first meeting. He was living with a family now for almost 4 months but they felt, rightfully, that Chief was just not the dog for them and decided to return him. He is housebroken, crate trained and neutered. He is HW negative and has all of his current shots. He is a real drive off the lot pooch but any adopter needs to recognize his need to training. From what we have learned he has not had very much formal training and must get into our classes as a condition of adoption. We think Chief is a truly great GSD and that he deserves a great home and family. If Chief fits your GSD plans please give me a call at 941 5750243
