EMMA CAN BE YOURS FOR JUST A PHONE CALL. PLEASE HELP US FIND A FAMILY FOR EMMA Emma is a sweet female black and tan 2.5 year old GSD. She is spade and has undergone heart worm medication, treatment and recovery. She has SUCCESSFULLY FINISHED her heart worm treatment and is ready for adoption. Emma is a totally sweet girl. After 2-3 minutes of hugging she will give you her belly for rubs. She seeks out people and is a pleasure to have around. We recommend she go to a single dog household as she quickly bonds and wants to be the queen. Emma does exhibit a bit of rear left leg issues but nothing serious and nothing debilitating. She runs and jumps very well, but the issue is present.
Emma was spade and received all shots and her chip and went into foster care for the duration of her heart worm treatment which is now over. She is now ready to go to her new home. Emma warms up quickly to people. She does need some training but walks well on a leash and is gentle and engaged. She is house broken and not destructive as well as crate trained. She does like to play and run and can be a great companion for a young or older family. We have not evaluated her with kids but at this point we see no problems. Emma is crate trained but when she gets out of her crate she wants to play right away. She does need to learn who is alpha in the home (everyone but her) so taking her to training is a must! She is about 58 pounds and can gain 10 or so with no problem. Her fur is soft and she has a personality to match. She has a classic saddle, nice fluffy tail and a great smile and face. Because of our personal plans Emma is being housed at the AWL. She is there for adoption as well, so if you wish to see her, please do not hesitate to go to the AWL on Drance Street in Port Charlotte between 11AM- 4PM 7 days a week to get acquainted with Emma.
If Emma seems like a dog you would like to meet, please call us asap and we can make those arrangements.
