HANDSOME BLACK JACK HAS FOUND A HOME

Black Jack is a medium sized black male GSD weighing in at about 65#'s. He is neutered and somewhat trained but he needs at least 2 courses in basic and novice obedience. As many untrained GSD's are, he needs to know who is alpha and that can easily be done with training as he is still very much a puppy.  He is social and not dog or cat reactive.  He seems to respond well to people and would be suitable for a family pet if the person was able to dedicate enough time to get him trained. This training can take up to 6 monhs, but once that is done, this beautiful dog will be a tremendous companion.  He is about 1.2 years old and he is currently in foster care for us.

When we first got the evaluation report we considered him mouthy which is NOT the case. When I evauated him today I was pleasantly surprised that he is a sweet gentle boy with lots of play and energy and totally suitable for a family however one with the time to train him and care for him during his re-hab.  He is Heart Worm positive and will need treatment which means he will be out of commission for 6 weeks. Only normal walks and then crated because we do not want the worms to adversely affect him.  The person adopting him needs to be able to dedicate the time needed to train him.
