LOVELY LUCY HAS A NEW MOM AND BROTHER

We are happy to report that Lucy went home to he new brother Spot and new Mom Donna.

Lucy is a 6 year (young) energetic female GSD. She is spade, HW negative, has all shots and has come from a loving and caring home.  Lucy is available immediately as the family was forced to surrender her because they are just unable to properly care for her with two small kids.  The family turning her over to us was kind and compassionate and cares for her tremendously which is why they feel that re-homing at this time make the most sense for Lucy.

They got Lucy when she was 10 weeks old.  They picked her primarily because of her affectionate and gentle personality.  Her temperament with kids, poeple and other dogs is excellent and remains so after these 6 years.  She loves to be the center of attention and seeks out attention as Diane and I saw when we first met and tested her with our dogs.

Lucy gives kisses, has some commands down pat, like come, sit and lay down.  She definately needs some work on stays. She is a jumper, so a 6 foot fence is a good bet if you have a yard since she can scale a 4 footer with ease. She is crate trained and she is hosebroken and not at all destructive. She does not have separation anxiety, but with any change in home, crating when leaving her alone at first is a GREAT idea.  She walks on a leash but can use some training there as well. We would require any adopter to enroll her immediately in basic or novice training.
