BEAUTIFUL KIRA HAS FOUND A NEW FAMILY

SWEET KIRA NEEDS A NEW HOME

We are happy to report that as of monday 2/27 Kira will have her surgery and will be placed in her new forever home upon completion. We thank Dr Hay for his generosity and professionalism in helping us with the surgery.  Dr hay is the premier orthepedic vet in Tampa and did my dog "Bud" when his knees gave out. Bud is 11.5 and is now going strong!

We could not be more pleased to see a dog find her new home.

Kira is a beautiful 2.5 year old red and black, female GSD. She came from a family with 3 children ranging in ages from 4 to 10. She is totally calm with people, CATS and other dogs. She alerts very well in the house and yet is a loving submissive companion to people and animals. She worked into our pack in 20 minutes time.

Besides being beautiful and having a great coat, she is housebroken, spade and had basic commands down perfectly such as sit, stay, leave it, down and come.  She seeks out attention and human touch. She would need to go through some further leash training as is our requirement for walking on a leash and se did learn to use the gentle leader in under 10 minutes time. She seemed to walk very well with her owner but we did experience some minor pulling which is now easily controlled with the leader.

When Kira was 1 she was diagnosed with dysplasia. She currently shows no signs of the disease and is pain free. She runs and walks well, and given her temperament and disposition, I feel hat she will have many more years before any surgery will be needed. It is important to note that she is predisposed to this condition.  She was spade today 1/17/2012 and is recovering until toorrow mornng.  She will be ready to be seen and to go home by Friday.

Kira as you can imagine came from a loving home. She was well fed and medically treated. She is up to date on all shots and is heart worm negative. As an owner give-up, she has come from a home where she lived from the time she was 8 weeks old. She has never seen a shelter. She has had no negative issues in her past and sems to love everyuone and everything.

If Kira sounds like a dog that could be a family member for you, please call Diane or Erik at 941 575 0243.
