GUNNER IS UP FOR ADOPTION

GUNNER NEEDS A NEW HOME

 We are elated to say that after these many months, heart worm and training Gunner has found a forever home.  His new mom and dad and sister Penny will make a great family and we wish them well!

GUNNER was found as a stray. He is a sweet male GSD who is a gentile soul. Gunner is a velcro dog who likes everyone. He is currently back in a foster home in Naples but can be made available on 1 days notice down in naples FL.  Gunner is being trained by a dear freid of ours and is there because he is awaiting his second heart worm shot and needs bed rest until that time. The next shot is due to be given in late November.  he has had his first show and is otherwise in good health. He has recently been examined by 2 vets who have cleared him from what was thought to be a possible URI resulting from his HW. 

Gunner is about 75#. He is a beautiful Black and Tan (with white) GSD. He was HW positive and as stated is being treated. He has all shots and is neutered and chipped.  He is housebroken, but like all rescues we strongly recommend crate training until you are confident he knows the house rules. Gunner is also crate trained and spends most of his days in the crate because of his HW condition.  He is playful with other dogs and we will not adopt him to a family with cats.  Although at first he was not cat agressive at all, Gunner is cat reactive.  Gunner listens and responds to all commands. He is extremely smart but needs a tender hand and a soft voice to be his master. He is a good eater and cuddler. When he first meets another dog he is testy but calms don quickly if the introduction is made correctly. he has mellowed of late. Gunner is fine at alerting and loves everyone he meets.  He is quick to learn, quick to respond, alert and attentive.  He is a great family dog and can make a tremendous member of your family.  he likes people and kids and does need to be trained to keep his interest.  He has a great prey drive for learning and for ball and other play.
