GINGER AKA KISHA FOUND A NEW HOME TODAY

OUR OWN 3 DOG NIGHT

Last week animal control raided an illegal puppy mill in LaBelle, FL. There were over 268 dogs present. The owner operated an illegal breeding facility and had these animals taken from him.  We were called about some of the GSD's or almost GSD's that were on site. At that time we were full but went anyway to see what we could do to help.  Diane saw these three dogs and determined that they were salvageable, but many were not.  There were numerous shelters present and most moved bus loads of dogs to their facilities.  We took these three because they were sweet tempered, some what trained, good with people, not dog agressive, did not respond negatively to this intervention and were taking it all in.  They were transported to our shelter at the AWL.

Ginger is a mix of what appears to be GSD, husky and even possibly a golden. She is about 1.5 years old maximum.  She is sweet tempered and extremely affectionate. She has longer fur than a GSD but as soon as we get her a bath and do some grooming, she will be a great looking dog!   She will be spayed this week and available next week (10/7/2011) for adoption.  She is a perfect dog to go to a family, young or old and with or without kids.  This dog simply wants to just love a family and thrives on human contact.  She appears to be housebroken but will have to re-learn that as she will be in the shelter for a week. She is responsive and looks for guidance which makes her easily trained and willing to please.
