We picked up Lu Lu and her ‘boy friend’ Ringo the afternoon of 3/18/11. They were turned in, in Sarasota County, to Animal Control and they were Spayed and neutered on the following Wednesday at the AWL hospital.   Ringo was adopted quickly and Lu Lu went today to her new home.

There are many times when a dog strikes you as a real keeper.  Lu Lu is one of those dogs.  She is a beautiful animal but fearful of new surroundings and not trusting of people. She is sweet and loveable but needed a family that would dedicate themselves to her care, knowing her short falls.

We found such a family in Andy and Janet.  These two remarkable people understood what Lu Lu needed had what she had been through in her two short years of life and fell in love with her at first sight.  They are in a unique position to spend lots of quality time with here and to provide her the love and TLC that she needs to come out of her shell and be a dog again.  Lu Lu is blessed to have found such a great family and will thrive in their home. Diane and I are very happy with the way things have worked out for her and we know that in 3-4 months time we will see a completely different dog.
