RAMBO NEEDS A NEW HOME
RAMBO came into the rescue today 11/13/25 as a 7 year old black and tan male GSD. He is neutered, utd on shots and HW Pos. We are treating the HW and we will use slow kill at this point in time. Slow kill means that we will (or the new owner will) apply a topical heartworm preventative each month for his lifetime. In about 6 to 8 months he will be heartworm free, but of course you would still use the topical for his lifetime, regardless. He has had 2 ear hematomas, which were treated, so he has a flopped ear.
Rambo is an active engaged handsome dog. He loves to play ball and to be petted. He was a family dog and is housebroken and somewhat trained. He knows his name, he doesn’t mind being crated, he walks well on a leash and loves his treats. He has excellent recall. He weighs about 78 pounds and he is active and engaged. He likes car rides and is immediately able to meet new people and be petted. He is dog friendly. We don’t know how he is with kids, but because of his calm temperament, I feel he would be fine. He is available immediately. If you want an almost senior sweet dog, Rambo fits the bill!
