MR MOOSE NEEDS A NEW HOME MR MOOSE came into the rescue from an owner relinquishment late in 2024. Due to extremely extenuating circumstances he was placed in a kennel for 30 days and wasn’t really handled. He was in our rehab with our head trainer Dale for a board and train for 4 days. Once we get him settled in we neutered him and he was sent to his forever home. We just received a call that the family can no longer care for him and they want to return him top find another home.
Mr Moose is an active dog who loves to play ball,. He is gentle with people but a total kultz. He definitely needs an alpha to get him under control. He gets amped up with doing whatever but is completely controllable if you have the right person in command. My hope is that he learn enough from his owners and from Dale to be considerable more calm. Whoever gets him will need to continue his training in a social setting, to make him their dog. He weighs about 80 pounds and he is solid. He is UTD on shots, hw neg and has had some basic obedience training. He knows sit, but the command they taught him was ‘down’. He does know back up, so that when he drops the ball to play he backs up 3 feet and sits. He will make a family a great dog once he gets his act together.
